Viessmann donates EUR 500,000.00 to strengthen democracy

December 15, 2025 – The Viessmann Foundation today announced to support eight selected social organizations with EUR 500,000.00 in total to strengthen democracy across Germany. All organizations successfully run decentralized, bottom-up projects.

We are responsible to defend and strengthen our free society, especially in times of social polarization. That is why we supported all established German democratic parties in the run-up to the last federal elections. Building on that, we now support organizations that engage with people locally and directly – with the core goal of strengthening democracy. The selected organizations perform outstanding work to strengthen our society and involve citizens in the democratic process."

Allianz der Gestalter:innen: elevates local innovation to national relevance, bridges the gap between people, politics, and institutions—across party lines and sectors
Zukunftswege Ost: empowers democratic civic actors in rural East Germany with funds and strong networks
Join Politics: promotes a new generation of political leaders who bring fresh, solution-driven approaches to the political sphere
Lokalprojekte: supports municipal administrations with solving local challenges
PHINEO Initiative Zukunftsträger: supports disadvantaged young people in Germany on their path to a career
Zusammen1: is a prevention project by MAKKABI Deutschland to enable all sports stakeholders to tackle antisemitism and all forms of discrimination in organized sports
Förderfonds Demokratie by Stiftung Bildung: promotes projects for a diverse and inclusive society and social justice
Tu was für Europa: uses innovative ideas to bring Europe to life in an emotional and tangible way as a shared project for the future of humanity.
