Rolf Wetzel joins Viessmann Generations Group as new Chief Financial Officer

November 3rd, 2025 – The Viessmann Generations Group ("Viessmann"), a purpose-driven family company with a heritage of 108 years, announces the appointment of Rolf Wetzel as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Member of the Executive Board.

Rolf joins Viessmann with extensive financial leadership experience across family-owned companies and global corporations. He spent more than a decade at Heraeus, one of Germany’s leading family-owned technology groups, where he served on the Board of Managing Directors as CFO after joining the company in 2011 and being appointed to the executive board in 2014.
Prior to Heraeus, Wetzel held senior roles at Lanxess AG, including at Saltigo GmbH, focusing on controlling, accounting, IT, restructuring, and M&A controlling. He studied business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) in Germany, England, Spain, and France, and brings a combined background in industry and consulting.
As CFO, Wetzel will oversee Finance and selected corporate functions, including Controlling, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Tax, IT and will work closely with the Investment Team on portfolio stewardship and capital allocation.
