Marcus Brennecke Joins Board of Directors of Viessmann Generations Group

February 26th, 2026 – The Viessmann Generations Group has appointed Marcus Brennecke to its Board of Directors with immediate effect. With this appointment, the 109-year-old family business underlines its continued commitment to operational excellence, an international perspective, and long-term responsibility.
With Marcus Brennecke’s appointment, the Viessmann Generations Group adds a globally recognized leader to its ranks with extensive transaction experience, deep expertise in the development and value creation of portfolio companies, and a proven track record in the internationalization of business models.

Marcus Brennecke currently serves as Chairman of the EQT Foundation and as Institutional Partner at EQT, having previously spent many years as Global Co-Head of EQT Private Equity, where he gained extensive board experience. He is a member of the Investment Committee of the EQT Equity Fund and the Portfolio Review Committee of EQT’s Equity, Growth, and Future Funds. In addition to his role at EQT, Marcus Brennecke founded his own family office, BBA CapitalPartners, with a clear focus on long-term, multi-generational equity investments.
Through BBA, Marcus has, among other investments, acquired a stake in the healthcare company Schülke & Mayr, in which the Viessmann Generations Group also holds an interest. This joint investment is testament to the close strategic alignment in the field of healthcare and directly contributes to the purpose of the Viessmann Generations Group.
The Board of Directors of the Viessmann Generations Group now consists of Prof. Dr. Martin Viessmann, Prof. Dr. Thomas Rödder, Madeleine Jahr, Dr. Albert Christmann, Dr.-Ing. E.h. Peter Leibinger, and Marcus Brennecke.
